HUGE UPDATE!!!!!!!!

*CATTLE DECAPITATION RETURNS HOME FROM EUROPEAN TOUR!
"We've returned from our Reborn of Death European Tour with Suffocation, Blood Red Throne, Cerebral Bore, Adimiron, Sadist and Ulvedharr! We had a blast doing it and have made some new friends along the way. There were some awesome times we had from the debaucherous Italian shows to watching our bus driver get a wave of our collective piss showered on him after dumping the piss tank which gave us many laughs and garnered him a new nickname without his knowledge: "Splish Splash". Its ok... he was a total asshole. A big "hell yeah!" goes out to Dave Culross for comin' through on the kit for Suffo and coming up with the name "Splish Splash". A f*cking great time was had by all! A HUGE thanks to all the bands we toured with! See you all in August when we come back for the festivals!"

*NEW CATTLE DECAPITATION MUSIC VIDEO HAS BEGUN PRODUCTION!
We are happy to announce we have tapped director Mitch Massie (All Leather, Vegamoore) to direct our first video off our new album "Monolith of Inhumanity" for the track "Kingdom of Tyrants" which will also include an extended minifilm version including the elaborate intro track "The Monolith". His recent output is completely messed up in the best way possible and he has promised this to be his and his team's biggest production to date. In his words... "Production for Cattle Decapitation begins tomorrow (last Saturday). We are attempting the impossible with this one. If it works out - it will 'become Death, destroyer of worlds.' Fans can expect the new video sometime mid-April!

CATTLE DECAPITATION frontman to make appearance on new SOULFLY album!


CATTLE DECAPITATION vocalist TRAVIS RYAN has recently recorded vocals for the new SOULFLY album due early 2012 on ROADRUNNER RECORDS. Travis recorded his portion of the vocals at Frick'in Studios in San Marcos, CA with engineer Dan Frick and the result was extremely positive.

"Its an honor to receive a call from someone you had pictures of on your wall as a kid asking you to be on a new album of theirs. I literally had a picture of Max and Gloria holding Richie in her arms that I ripped out of a copy of Metal Maniacs on my wall when I was 15 or 16. Now they're asking for my artistic hand in one of their creations, just doesn't get much more surreal than that. Very honored and the song is very "death metal-ish" and completely crushes. Happy to be a part of it!"

The producer of Soulfly's new album, ZEUSS (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, The Red Chord) responded to the delivery of Travis' tracks saying "The vocals f*cking rule!!!! Fits the song perfect... Very refreshing for me to hear these days."


CATTLE DECAPITATION recently announced the status of their new album writing process and will be entering Flatline Audio Studios in Denver, CO in January to record. Cattle Decapitation new album writing update announcement! (Video available)

In November 2010 Cattle Decapitation returned home from headlining The California Blood Tour and decided to take the next year off and immediately began writing the follow up to their critically-acclaimed 2009 release “The Harvest Floor”.

The band has been holed up in the confines of their rehearsal studio in National City, California ever since and are preparing to unleash a new slab of human-dissecting carnage for a Spring 2012 release via Metal Blade Records. The band will be recording in January/February in Denver, Colorado at FLATLINE AUDIO with producer/engineer DAVE OTERO (Cephalic Carnage, Catheter, Trivium) and will play a small handful of shows on the way out to Denver showcasing their new material.

Artist WES BENSCOTER is again on board to deliver more breathtaking GOREgeousness to the album cover as he has done on our past 4 releases. We will be announcing the album title, cover image and concept in the next few months.

Here’s what guitarist Josh Elmore has to say about the new material:
"As it comes down to the home stretch before recording, we have been focusing on getting the last two songs written as well as refining and tightening the tracks which are already completed. The overwhelming impression I get from this new batch of tunes is that they have benefitted greatly from a more streamlined approach to composition and song structure. A lot of these songs are very "to-the-point" with just enough embellishment to keep them dynamic, whilst avoiding sinking into some bells-and-whistles mire. Lean and mean.

There will be no forays in 8-string djentiness and none of us bought v-neck shirts or deck shoes to "modernize" our sound and look, respectively. Expect some riffy, ripping blackened deathgrind with nods to our past work and tastes of what's to come. These songs are going to be a blast to play live and we are anxious to have these recorded and get on the road to play them for you."

Cattle Decapitation announces THE CALIFORNIA BLOOD headlining FALL 2010 TOUR!!!

Cattle Decapitation, in conjunction with IndieMerchCo, are pleased to announce "THE CALIFORNIA BLOOD TOUR!!!"  
Featuring bands mostly hailing from California, the tour will be headlined by CATTLE DECAPITATION and sees DEVOURMENT (TX) rearing its ugly head plus searing acts such as KNIGHTS OF THE ABYSS, fellow San Diegans BURNING THE MASSES and newcomers SON OF AURELIUS.  Select dates also feature Sacramento's SLAUGHTERBOX and San Diego's own purveyors of brutality, CONDEMNED.

This will be Cattle Decapitation's final US tour for the "Harvest Floor" record, as the band will commence the writing of their 5th Metal Blade release at the end of the year. 

Cattle Decapitation vocalist Travis Ryan had this to say about the tour:

"We've had this idea for a tour that was mostly comprised of California bands for quite a while now. I don't know, there was just something about the term "California love" (popularized by 2Pac Shakur) that never quite sat right with us so we came up with something a little more fitting, considering the level of brutality that California has always had under its belt. From the seedy sewers in the big cities to the "Cowshwitz" communities of central CA to the inhospitable depravity of the dry desert, we decided it was time to show the rest of the US that CaliGOREnia is not just about hippies, silicone bodies and marijuana dispensaries (not that there's anything wrong with that, haha!)... This is CALIFORNIA BLOOD!"
