Don't Kill The Animals - Nebelhexe and Jarboe (also featuring Travis Ryan from Cattle Decapitation)
This is a re-make of the 80's hit by Nina Hagen and Lene Lovich. Nebelhexe says she always loved the song and the message, and thus really wanted to do a modern cover version of it. She wants to remind us of a great song and a great message. She thus invited US artist Jarboe (ex-Swans) to join the project. Jarboe suggested Travis Ryan from Vegan death-metal band Cattle Decapitation to be a part of it as well. The song was arranged in the studio of Daniel Hill, who also plays with the electro-pop act Magenta. The result is a catchy club version that surely will fill many dance-floors as well as raise awareness for the ethical treatment of animals.
Bonus songs: - Living Trash - Nebelhexe This is a song about the ghastly animal industry from Nebelhexe's album 'Essensual'. - Fallen (Angel) - Nebelhexe A song from her new album 'Dead Waters'.
Regret & the Grave VIDEO now showing on Headbangersblog.com and airing Saturday, 3/21 on Headbanger's Ball on MTV2!!! posted by Travis Ryan on 03-19-2009 01:29
Cattle Decapitation “Regret & the Grave” video premiering on Headbangersblog.com TODAY and on Headbanger's Ball on MTV2 on SATURDAY!!!
The much anticipated video for the epic closing track from The Harvest Floor, Regret & the Grave features some of the thought provoking and frightening themes from the album’s cover art. The video will premiere on HeadBangersBlog.com on March 19th and on MTV 2’s Head Banger’s Ball on March 21st.
Vocalist Travis Ryan comments on the video: “The band recorded it in a real butcher shop in Santa Paula, CaliGOREnia. We were contacted by a fan on MySpace saying we should use his family owned butcher shop. Knowing perfectly well that we could easily make a butcher shop or a slaughterhouse look like a human slaughterhouse, we had to jump at the chance. We shot all day in there and by the end of the shoot it smelled like death. The end result is pretty disturbing which is of course, exactly what we intended.”
“More than simply pushing forward the wall of extreme metal, this is an album that challenges music itself, as well as the shallow way in which humanity views its place in the universe.” Blabbermouth.net
“…one of the most underrated and best grind acts out there.” Hails & Horns
“Cattle Decapitation have the sort of skills that put them squarely at the head of grind’s noisy pack.” MetalSucks.net
“The Harvest Floor is the band’s most brutally intense work to date." Thrasher Magazine
Don’t miss Cattle Decapitation as they criss cross North America for the next few months with some of the best new and veteran metal bands around.

*Cattle Decapitation full album stream on Buzzgrinder.com!
Cattle Decapitation's new album, The Harvest Floor, will be streaming in its entirety exclusively on buzzgrinder.com starting this Friday and ending on Monday. Besides just being able to hear each song in their full, grinding glory, you can read a song by song breakdown by vocalist Travis Ryan. The lyrics on The Harvest Floor are some of his most twisted yet and the explanations should provide some insight on the inspiration for the lyrics.
*Cattle Decapitation wrap up “Regret & the Grave” video shoot!
We would like to thank everyone that showed up for our video shoot on Sunday for the song “Regret & the Grave” which appears on our new album The Harvest Floor! We managed to pull off some serious guerilla style filming right in the middle of a busy park with frightening “shock troopers” walking and pacing around in full regalia and the volunteers helped offset that with their “normal” and toned down looks. We really appreciate all the hard work and waiting around you guys did!!! Special thanks to the main actors Carey Rainey and Christine Simko for putting in the extra hours… THANK YOU!!!
The video should be ready for viewing within a couple weeks, just a couple more scenes to shoot and we’re DONE! Its going to quite a disturbing piece of footage to say the least.
*ATTN: CANADIAN FANS!!! Plans are under way for our first FULL CANADIAN TOUR!!! That’s right! We’ll be traveling from western Canada all the way to the east side playing all the spots in between! PREPARE FOR THE GORE!!!

Cattle Decapitation announce NEW ALBUM details!!! posted by Travis Ryan on 10-31-2008 02:17
CATTLE DECAPITATION announces details of NEW ALBUM! Brand new MP3, album title, track listing & cover art!
We’re FINALLY done with all the finishing touches of our new album and we feel we’ve finally done it! Sonically, the band has managed to finally capture and accentuate its live intensity that we’ve become known for and has created one hell of an album from start to epic finish! Conceptually, its misanthropy shall go unmatched. This is it, humans... ferocity at its finest.
The album is called “The Harvest Floor”, a title Travis has been kicking around in his head and working towards for the last 2 albums and will arrive as an enhanced CD and there will also be a picture disc LP version that comes with a giant poster! The actual title refers to the area of a slaughterhouse where the animal (of course in our case it always means the HUMAN) begins the agonizing process of death, usually done with a bolt to the forehead or a slice to the throat. “The Harvest Floor” is a fitting title for an album laden in gore and the anti-human metaphors and sentiments CATTLE DECAPITATION fans have grown to know and love.
Artwork by Wes Benscoter shows the outside of a large slaughterhouse/factory of doom and gloom with the general public being herded inside to meet their demise. The inside of the album layout reveals what’s really inside that slaughterhouse: our misanthropic heroes of GORE (not core) at another hard day of work! Combined with the amazing artwork and conceptually brutal layout, the CD version of The Harvest Floor also contains an enhanced portion which sports an I-pod ready documentary titled “Pandemic: The Damnation Epic – The Making of “The Harvest Floor” which, simply put, makes “The Harvest Floor” an apocalyptic multimedia epic!
Track Listing: 1. The Gardeners of Eden 2. A Body Farm 3. We are Horrible People 4. Tooth Enamel & Concrete 5. The Ripe Beneath the Rind 6. The Product Alive 7. In Axetasy 8. Into the Public Bath 9. The Harvest Floor 10. Regret & the Grave
No strangers to guest appearances, CATTLE DECAPITATION have enlisted some old friends for guest vocals including Ross Sewage (Impaled/Ludicra) and Dino Sommese (Dystopia/Asunder). The band is also very pleased to announce there is a special appearance by Jarboe (Swans), lending her beautifully haunting voice to the epic death dirge “The Harvest Floor”. Jackie Perez Gratz (Grayceon/Amber Asylum) graces a couple tracks with her electric cello and Los Angeles noisician John Wiese also lends his electronic/atmospheric expertise to the album further separating the band from the typical “cookie-cutter” approach applied all too often by today’s extreme acts.
The Harvest Floor shows a return to the engineering and production skills of Billy Anderson (Mr. Bungle, Melvins, Swans) with a combination of drum recording by Zach Ohren (All Shall Perish, Decrepit Birth) to create a modern but unique sound that is disturbingly pummeling. Holed up in Sharkbite studios in Oakland, CA for nearly a month away from the punishing light of day, CATTLE DECAPITATION hid in the depths and have sprouted new hell with the masterpiece that is… The Harvest Floor.

Cattle Decapitation 2008 Studio Report - Part 2!!! posted by Travis Ryan on 09-04-2008 23:17
Cattle Decapitation has uploaded their latest 2008 IN-STUDIO VIDEO REPORT installment to their MySpace and on YouTube!
“In-Studio Video Report #2: Guitars & Bass” shows a sneek peek behind the tracking of the guitars and bass guitars for their 4th Metal Blade Records release available in January 2009! At the helm of the recording console is none other than Billy Anderson (“Karma.Bloody.Karma”, Melvins, Mr. Bungle). Recorded in August of 2008, the forthcoming album has already shaped up to be the most unrelenting release yet for the four-piece as well as the most dynamic in terms of technicality, brutality and production. The band delivers their unique brand of spastic, gory, grinding death with a much more modern and updated production approach entirely and we’re positive the fans' lust for newer and better Cattle will be more than satiated! The album title as well as the complete track listing, album artwork & MP3 will be revealed soon!
